Paris Personal Exhibition 2018 Exhibit Report

A personal exhibition was held at the Galerie Etienne de Causans located in the Quartier Saint-Germain-des-Prés of Paris, France for an eight-day period starting from Oct 15 (Monday) to 22 (Mon), 2018.

Hoshino mentions what impressed him most at the exhibition. “I found it impressive that all of the people who visited the exhibit spent their time observing each of my works. The number of visitors far exceeded my expectations, and I totally understood that an important element to their lives was to decorate their rooms with a piece of art.” It appears that Hoshino felt a major response from his visitors.

With the sales of three of his works—“Dress”, “Kimono Skirt Design”, and “The Opening Curtain”—he happily added that “The visitors didn’t base their decisions on public opinion, but on their own individual senses. This may sound strange, but I thought it was cool.”

For Hoshino, this exhibition held in Paris—“the city that is materially and mentally connected to the sense of beauty”—closed on a high note.
